What started as two JOD members having a friendly debate over who was the better emcee, is now a full fledged battle league known to Michigan and the world as JBR, Jewels of Battle Rap. Jewels of Detroit strives to be innovative and capitalize on the organic energy and ideas of its members to help propel and inspire everyone involved. While this aspect or the art is truly competitive, at its core it is a true show of passion and love for the art and one another that has catapulted into a platform for emcees across the entire state of Michigan.
With so much talent, we strive to provide emcees and fans with a quality experience that connects and engages the two, while creating an atmosphere of fun, learning, and love. We have worked with some of the most renowned names in Michigan Battle Rap from videographers to other leagues, and are continuing to make our stamp and impact in the community and on the world stage.
