MicroNeedling

The wisdom that comes with age doesn’t have to come with aging skin. You can have the best of both worlds—experience and healthy, glowing skin. We can help you put your best face forward with MicroNeedling Collagen Induction Therapy.

How Quickly Will I See Results?

Many patients see immediate improvement. However, the body’s natural healing process can take time, so your initial improvements will get even better, typically 3-6 months following your MicroNeedling session. The number of treatments depends on your goals and how much revitalization is needed. Patients typically have 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. Those with deeper wrinkles, acne scarring, or stretch marks may need as many as 6-8 treatments. We also recommend annual maintenance MicroNeedling sessions. Is There Any Downtime? Total healing depends on the severity of damaged skin. Average patients experience 2-4 days of redness and sensitivity (much like a sunburn), though some heal completely within 24 hours.

Advantages: The process is entirely natural and safe. Your own collagen is long-lasting. You will never be left looking artificial or lopsided. It's safe for all skin types because there is no sun sensitivity afterwards, unlike laser, which can result in too much pigment or total loss of pigment after treatment in people with darker skin. There is no permanent damage to the skin. It can be used on thin skin. It can be safely repeated for greater results. The process is less painful than some technologies such as Thermage or Fraxel. There is a very short healing period - as little as 5 days (back to work next day with make-up). It is more affordable than most treatments. Effective - It works!

Side Effects: Reddening of the skin which should subside in 3-5 days. Mild swelling initially. This usually subsides in a day or two. Bruising in some, which may last for 5-10 days.

Microdermabrasion

During the microdermabrasion procedure, a handheld device is used to transmit tiny crystals of aluminum oxide across the targeted treatment area. The dead skin is suctioned away with a vacuum tool, revealing fresh underlying skin. A treatment session can last 30 to 60 minutes. The results of a single microdermabrasion treatment are temporary. For continued improvement, treatment should be repeated every 2 to 4 weeks.

Microdermabrasion is the most natural way to evenly and safely exfoliate skin without the use of chemicals. It Increases blood circulation, takes off the first layer of skin to remove free radicals and debris, and gives skin a smooth surface. Microdermabrasion is especially wonderful before makeup application - helping makeup application stay on longer and look smoother. The final result is firmer, more youthful looking skin over time.

Estimate time of appointment 15 minutes. Other benefits of microdermabrasion include: • Minimizes appearance of pores.

• Smooths fine lines

• Moves blood build up under eye to remove darkness.

• Fades sun spots and wrinkles

• Helps unwanted facial hair growth

• Helps to grow hair out smoothly without in grown hairs.

• It stimulates collagen renewal.

What Does Microdermabrasion Treat?

Microdermabrasion is used to treat a variety of mild-to-moderate skin problems, including acne, scarring, sun damage, age spots and fine wrinkles. Because it only affects the outermost layer of skin (epidermis), it is not effective for repairing deep tissue damage, or removing congenital marks, tattoos, moles and scars.

What Are The Benefits Of Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion safely and effectively, with no pain and no downtime, improves the color, tone and texture of skin. Microdermabrasion is considered safe for all skin types, and is especially effective for Asian and dark-skinned patients who may be at risk for skin discoloration with other types of treatment. The vacuum used during dermabrasion enhances circulation and lymph flow, rejuvenating the skin internally as well as externally.

Is It Necessary To Wear Sunscreen After Microdermabrasion Treatment?

After microdermabrasion is performed, the newly exposed layer of skin is vulnerable to sun damage, so wearing sunscreen is necessary. Avoiding the sun the first few days after treatment is recommended.

RF skin tightening facial

Your skin changes with age, but thanks to modern treatments, you don’t have to sit back helplessly and watch those changes unfold. Instead, you can take action with Radiofrequency (RF) facial skin tightening from Aiken Body Contouring Spa. With proven benefits and a great safety profile, you’ll retain your natural beauty but look younger and fresher.

What Are the Benefits of RF Facial Skin Tightening?

The two most visible benefits provided by this treatment are tighter skin and a smoother surface – meaning fewer wrinkles. But RF therapy is versatile, so you can also expect an improvement in sun damage. Studies show that after three months of RF treatment, patients saw clinically significant improvements in mild to moderate signs of sun damage. This is great news for those with photoaged skin; treating dark spots, sagging, and other effects of the sun is notoriously hard to do. Most people think aging is the only culprit behind collagen degradation, but the sun is even more vicious. The ability to reverse UV damage is, therefore, nothing less than revolutionary, and RF technology does precisely this.

Facial Contouring

Before we get further into this subject, let’s take a look at how skin ages. Below the surface, in those depths invisible to the eye, a collagen and elastin scaffolding supports the dermis and epidermis. This structure keeps your skin supple, bouncy, and firm. From age 25 on, however, we lose between 1 and 2% of our natural collagen each year. This is an effect of the body’s processes gradually slowing. In turn, the scaffolding grows weaker and crumbles. To make matters worse, the cells on our skin’s surface (the epidermis) don’t renew as quickly as in our youth. The results are dullness, sagging, wrinkles, and textural issues. Radiofrequency comes to the rescue, not only tightening skin, as mentioned earlier, but also restoring contours to create toned, firm, youthful-looking skin. This firming action makes RF especially well-suited to the chin, neck, and jawline. It can also be used to tighten:

Sags between the nose and mouth

Bags and wrinkles under and above the eyes

Drooping brow lines

RF treatments work to produce new collagen and elastin in the body. With these effects, old and damaged skin is replaced by that which is new and healthy. These cells are also naturally firmer and tighter, but they don’t develop overnight. You won’t look one way on Thursday and look completely different by Friday or Saturday. Most patients desire gradual improvements because they want to look like themselves, but better. They’re looking for subtle improvements over dramatic changes, and RF delivers these exact results.

What Skin Types Can Have RF?

Treatment is designed for all skin types, including those with sensitive and dry tissues. It boosts oxygen levels in the skin, so it can freshen your appearance at any time. But those with certain conditions should sit this one out, including patients who are pregnant and/or have:

Active acne

Rosacea

Broken capillaries
