Cary provides over 30 years of law enforcement experience from many facets of the industry. He has been a certified Crime Prevention Practitioner through the Florida Attorney Generals FCPTI since 2012. In addition, he has obtained Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (C.P.T.E.D.) Practitioner, radKIDS Instructor and defensive instructor certifications for women and seniors. After seeing the continued rise in school and public shootings he obtained a certification in active shooter instructor survival. He has an Associates Degree from St. Leo University.

Cary currently serves on Ronald McDonald House Advisory Committee, Board of Directors for Micanopy Area Cooperative School and Vice Chair for the Board of Directors for Alachua County Health Promotion and Wellness Coalition. He believes that we need to serve and advocate for the vulnerable empowering them to their next step of success.

He has been married to his best friend Sharon for over 30 years. They love to travel together, taking in historical sights and shooting nature and landscape photography. Cary is often heard saying "Surround yourself with giants in the areas you serve."

Sharon has a bachelors degree in Communications and Theatre from Monmouth College. She has a background in Sales, Marketing and Administration in the Advertising, Health Care and Retail Industries.

Sharon started her career in the Broadcast Media Field as a Television & Radio Anchor/Reporter and News Director in the Ocala, Gainesville and Orlando, Florida areas.

Sharon enjoys working with Cary in all aspects of the Empowered U business. She is a certified radKIDS Instructor.

You can occasionally find Sharon on the community theatre stages around the Gainesville area, pursuing her passion for theatre as an actor.

Sharon and Cary are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters.
