Phone Burner /CMF Setup
The Phone Burner Marketing System is NOT owned or supported by Shaklee. It is owned and run by a company in Southern California. Others in Shaklee may also subscribe to this system (so the OJT training webcasts will not be exclusive to our team, but there ARE custom settings for the version our team uses.)

The link above will populate most of what Zal is using, so you will have scripts and emails and more already set up for you. If you wish to set everything up yourself, and create all the content yourself, there is a different link to use when signing up. The costs are the same. Contact Zal for that link.
There are 3 options to subscribe to. Please make sure your mentor has explained each one and how they differ.
You are not required to use your Shaklee ID as your CMF User Name, but it does make it easier to transfer leads to you.
- There are training videos on PB that guide you through the setup, but there are customizations that are specific to OUR TEAM ONLY, and they are explained here. It is important that you follow THIS list.
- Sections 2 through 5 (here) will take about 20 minutes of focus. We suggest you do this on a desktop or laptop if possible, as you will have multiple windows open at the same time. Just take it one step at a time, and you will do just fine. When you are done, we suggest you have your mentor check that you have everything set up correctly: First, open your Shaklee PWS in a browser window and click on MEOLOGY PERSONAL PLAN (make sure you are not logged in to Shaklee). Copy the link showing in the URL area of your browser and paste in a blank document. Then copy only the last part of the long link, everything from the ? to the end. It will look something like this (this is Zal’s. Use your own, and not this one): ?sponsorId=n97tV05LH3CV3IyML%2Fv9Kw%3D%3D&pwsName=starteam. While logged into PB, go to: https://www.phoneburner.com/myaccount/codes/index - Paste the long code string into the field labeled Code #1.
- Open the Shaklee Share app on your phone or tablet. Click the Samples tab, click Sample Website, and a window will open. Click on Copy. Enter what you copied into a new browser window and go to the address (it will just look like a bunch of code until the page loads. At the top, it will have xxxx.shakleesample.com Make a note of what xxxx is for you (it’s zfink for me). Copy this and paste it into Code #2: https://xxxx.shakleesample.com and then replace the xxxx with what showed up for you (My info in Code #2 is https://zfink.shakleesample.com). In Code #3 put https://meology.shaklee.com/?type=join&country=US&lang=en_US&kit_code=59788 and copy what's in Code #1 and paste at the end of the link. Remove the ? at the beginning of what you pasted from Code #1 and replace with &. (My info in Code #3 is https://meology.shaklee.com/?type=join&country=US&lang=en_US&kit_code=59788&sponsorId=n97tV05LH3CV3IyML%2Fv9Kw%3D%3D&pwsName=starteam).
- Make sure you have nothing in your Shaklee Shopping Cart. Then click on this link. Log into Shaklee.com if not already logged in. Click on Share Cart. Copy the Sharable Link and paste it into Code #7. This will allow you to use the Get Clean Challenge Smart Pack.
- If you use an extension on your phone, enter it at Code #8. Put your Name in Code #9 and your phone number in Code #10, which will show up in some of the Smart Packs. Click the Save Changes Button at the bottom of the page after entering all your custom codes. Here's a screen shot of Zal's Custom Code page.
- Record you Voice Mail Messages. Here are the scripts Zal used for his recordings.
- Attend OJT's to learn how to best use the system (OJT = On the Job Training). Find them on the Team Calendar.

- Purchasing LEADS from this website. Make sure you choose the option to load the leads into your Phone Burner System. We suggest you start with the least costly leads so you can get used to using CMF. After you feel comfortable, you can upgrade to "better" leads. The best are the Radio co-op, but they can be the costliest. Most of us used "real-time" leads after learning with the cheapest ones, the "aged" leads... Look for any special offers for leads the first time you purchase them, and get as many as you are able with those deals. There are “sales” usually near month end. Remember that the lead companies use AutoShip. You must remember to go into their website (you'll get a code from them to do that) and cancel or change your AutoShip if you don't want a repeat order the following month. We suggest you do that so you have more flexibility on which leads you want to use.
- Here's a review of some hints we have discovered to make using PB (Phone Burner) easier:
- Sorting Your Leads/Prospects Clicking on any underlined heading when looking at your contact list sorts the list by the category you clicked. When in the VHP category, click on Sort by Last Visit to make sure you don't miss anyone who watched the video.
- Use the Time-stamp feature (Insert Timestamp) above the Notes box and your most recent notes will be on top and the older ones will push to the bottom.
- Do not delete ANYONE from the system, even if they unsubscribe. If later they ever click on the link in one of your emails, they will see an error page if you've deleted them. If you don’t want to see them, you can archive them.
- Practice with the aged leads, but understand they are being bombarded with emails and calls, so they may be the most difficult ones to "work". But since you need to get 200 calls done to feel comfortable with the scripts and the system, "practice" on the cheapest ones. Remember that most of the leads are set up on an AutoShip. If you are not prepared to continue with the same lead purchase on a continuing basis, remember to cancel or pause your lead AutoShip. Don't get surprised... keep a record of expected AutoShip renewal dates.
- Listen and agree. We get a lot of folks who tell us how Network Marketing doesn't work, or Shaklee doesn't work, etc., and we can turn that around. Listen to their issues and agree with them, and say, "Everything you said is true... that's what's so great about this system. It overcomes all those issues". And it really does. The only ones not worth "turning" are the ones that hang up on you. Just say "NEXT". Remember that EVERYONE who visits is looking for something to improve their situation (or checking out their competition - - rare). A lot of people probably have a preconceived idea of what we do. They think we are the "Avon Lady." Until they watch and understand the CMF system, they may be looking for something exactly like this but don't know we are it. And keep in mind that some people DO want to use Onine meetings and Social Media to build... that DOES work... so you don't want to tell them they can't... it's just that CMF offers an alternative approach. They can do both if they want, and our most successful team members do.
The Back-Office Demo: When you are talking to someone who expresses great interest, demo the site with them. Have them click on the link in the email they have from you, and then tell them to click on the "Log-In" button near the bottom of most of the CMF pages. If you show them that way to get into the demo site, you will always know when they went back, because your PB Contact Page will track their visits. If they lost the email, send another from the system while they are on the phone with you. The ID is to the team demo site is starteam and the password is star. Please do not move or delete the contacts in the demo site. Demo the Contacts and AutoResponder Tabs and show them the training calls. If they don't enroll right then, invite them to the next STAR*TEAM Opportunity Event (www.StarTeamLive.com). There is a video on how to demo the CMF Back Office (18 minutes - Click Here). You may even send this link to your prospects instead of a personal demo and there are emails in the CMF system you can send, so you can track if they watched the demo video. If possible, doing a personal demo may help you develop a more solid relationship with your prospect.- Remember that this IS a numbers business. There are a LOT of people who want this to be some kind of a lottery where they don't have to really work to make money. All we are doing here is sorting through a LOT of people to find just a few great ones. Successful people in this business will tell you that they gave over 100 presentations to find someone who actually started to build a business. With this system, we can give a hundred full presentations in two weeks or a month (Full View-throughs - or VHPs) if we have big numbers of leads feeding into our Back Office. Even if you are not putting big numbers into CMF, as long as you are feeding leads in, the numbers will work the same for you, just over a slower time frame. And remember that the person who you think will be your Superstar may not actually BE the Superstar, but may FIND the Superstar. Do not let yourself become discouraged. The only way you will fail is if you stop (quit). Most of us made more calls our first 2 months and had very little positive results, but went through our "college education". Month 3 and 4 were 5 or 10 times better, with fewer calls, but more "quality" calls. Just remember your Plan of Action and stick with it no matter what.
