Nano Anthology 2021
This anthology is part of the Science Fiction Series and is tentatively called Worlds Away.
Submissions for Worlds Away is now open with the following guidelines.
The theme for Worlds Away is short stories about Unknown Planets.
There should be a strong sense of people, time and place. There should be distinct characters and a story arc.
Stories must have a minimum of 1000 words and a maximum of 4500 words per story.
The submission fee per story is $20 - This fee is non-refundable. You may enter up to three entries. Each separate entry requires its' own entry fee. Entry fees are nonrefundable.
One winner will receive $1500, publication in the 2021 publication, and copies of the publication.
Three (3) finalists will receive $250, publication in the 2021 publication, and copies of the publication.
Print Rights for Nano Anthology: We require exclusive print rights to all accepted work(s) for twelve (12) months after publication and non-exclusive print rights indefinitely for potential anthologies and promotional materials.
Electronic Rights for Nano Anthology: We require exclusive print rights to all accepted work(s) for twelve (12) months after publication and non-exclusive print rights indefinitely so we may include it in our online archives and eBooks.
Life Anthology 2021
This anthology is part of the Life Series and is tentatively called Invisible.
Submissions for Invisible is now open with the following guidelines.
The theme for Invisible is short stories about people or things that are ignored or goes unnoticed.
There should be a strong sense of a person that seems invisible to the people or things around them.
Stories must be fiction.
Stories must have a minimum of 1500 words and a maximum of 3500 words per story.
The submission fee per story is $15 - This fee is non-refundable. You may enter up to three entries. Each separate entry requires its' own entry fee. Entry fees are nonrefundable. The theme for Believing is short stories about the lives and people from a spiritual point of view.
There should be a strong sense of a having a connection to a higher power.
Stories must have a minimum of 1500 words and a maximum of 3500 words per story.
The submission fee per story is $15 - This fee is non-refundable. You may enter up to three entries. Each separate entry requires its' own entry fee. Entry fees are nonrefundable. One winner will receive $1500, publication in the 2021 publication, and copies of the publication. ELIGIBILITY
The award is open to new or published writers who can write interesting stories based on themes.
The award is open to writers in English, whether or not they are citizens of the United States.
Innovative Publishers Inc. employees, former employees, current students, and those who have been students within the last three years are not eligible for the award.
Translations are not eligible if the translation was not done by the author.
Eligible submissions include an unpublished works of 500 -3,500 words. Prior publication of your manuscript as a whole in any format (including electronic) makes it ineligible.
Manuscripts may NOT also be under consideration by other publishers. Manuscripts under contract elsewhere are no longer eligible for the Prize.
Authors may submit more than one manuscript to the competition as long as one manuscript or a portion thereof does not duplicate material submitted in another manuscript.
DATES FOR SUBMISSION
Manuscripts must be received during May and June. That is, they must be postmarked on or after January 1 and on or before June 30.
FORMAT FOR MAIL-IN SUBMISSIONS
Manuscripts must be double-spaced on quality white paper, unbound, and pages must be numbered consecutively. TWO Clean, legible, photocopies on high quality white paper are acceptable.
Manuscripts will be judged anonymously. Each manuscript should have two cover pages: one listing the title of the manuscript and the author’s name, address, e-mail address (if available), and telephone number; and a second listing only the manuscript title. The author’s name, other identifying information, and publication information must not appear after the first cover page.
Manuscripts will not be returned. Enclose a self-addressed stamped postcard for acknowledgement of receipt. For results, please check our website.

If more than one winning entry is received, prize money will be divided equally among all winners. Winner will be notified by phone, and mail and may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release and winner’s name and likeness may be used for publicity purposes without additional compensation. Prize is non-transferable and no substitutions will be allowed. Taxes are the responsibility of the winner. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply and entries will not be returned. Contest void where prohibited.
